Six Years of Memory Fragments at Missmeeca

Missmeeca Six Years: The Mark of My Dance with Time

Time flies and the years pass like a shuttle. In the blink of an eye, I have spent six seasons in Missmeeca.

These six years have been the most colorful chapter of my career. I have experienced various positions such as order tracking, human resources, procurement, sales, and finance. Each position is like a pearl, strung together to form the necklace of my career. It has witnessed my growth from a newcomer to a seasoned professional capable of handling responsibilities on my own.

Guardian of Orders: Business Order Tracking

My journey with Missmeeca began with a business order tracking position. In October 2018, at the Missmeeca factory in Pingshan, Shenzhen, I first met General Manager Li. It was my first time dealing with order tracking, and General Manager Li repeatedly emphasized that it is a job that demands great attention to detail. At first, I often felt at a loss when faced with the complex order processes and tight delivery deadlines, especially when I saw English labels and barcodes from different countries, which gave me a headache. My daily work was to record orders, print labels, and urge shipments, which was both monotonous and urgent. The most memorable time was when we couldn't deliver a batch of orders on time, and the client sent someone to watch our office every day. As a newcomer, I couldn't mobilize other departments to cooperate with me, which brought me tremendous pressure. After General Manager Li found out, he personally went to the workshop to direct people from various departments to cooperate with me to get the client's goods out. Over time, I learned how to coordinate internal resources and how to remain calm under pressure. These skills laid a solid foundation for my future work.

Bridge of Talent: Human Resources Specialist

With the changes in the company's internal staff, I took on the role of a human resources specialist. This was an entirely new field for me. In addition to getting familiar with the recruitment rules on various platforms, I also needed to quickly learn the company's internal recruitment processes, onboarding training, and employee relationship management. Here, I learned the skills of communication with people. Under the guidance and example of General Manager Li, she taught me to observe the behavior and actions of interviewees, how to judge character, how to build an effective team, and how to improve employee work efficiency through motivation and training. This experience gave me a more comprehensive understanding of the company's operations. Gradually, I learned to assess, recognize, and utilize talents. Although I haven't reached the precision of General Manager Li, my skills are adequate for the tasks at hand.

The Art of Negotiation: Procurement Specialist

After working in the human resources department for a while, I was entrusted with the important task of procurement. This is a position filled with strategy and negotiation. From a tiny screw to the final product, I gained a deeper understanding of Missmeeca's products. In this role, I learned how to assess the reliability of suppliers and the quality of products, which made me more patient. I also learned to observe the small details around me, consciously noting the contact information of potential suppliers for future use. Moreover, I mastered the art of negotiation, aiming to reduce costs through negotiation and strategic purchasing while ensuring quality.General Manager Li often conducted case analyses and live teaching demonstrations, role-playing buying and selling negotiation scenarios. Through practice, I improved my communication and coordination skills with internal teams such as production, sales, quality, and warehouse. This position also tested my human desires. From supplier price concessions to potential conflicts of interest, I faced many temptations along the way. Suppliers often tried to tempt me with sweet words and money, hoping to do business with our company through me. Thanks to the full trust General Manager Li placed in me, I have always been able to adhere to principles and maintain my original intention. This has laid a solid foundation for my career, allowing me to move forward more steadily in this position.

The Power of Decision-Making: Management Position

As the company continues to expand, the demand for talent increases, and training new employees has become an important part of my work. This is not only a recognition of my past work by General Manager Li but also an affirmation of my potential for development. I pass on my accumulated experience and knowledge to the newcomers, helping them quickly adapt to the work environment and improve their professional skills, just as General Manager Li did for me at the beginning. The most memorable incident was when I was initially conducting business communications, and due to certain reasons, the client hesitated and could not confirm the order. I reported this situation to General Manager Li, who immediately made a phone call and helped me secure the client, ultimately landing a large order. She also conducted a post-mortem analysis with me to understand the client's thoughts. Now, I am learning from General Manager Li's way of dealing with people, using the communication techniques she taught me. When the business assistants cannot resolve client orders, I help them solve problems. Over the past six years of working alongside General Manager Li, she often analyzed the personality traits of each person. Amazingly, every time she predicted that a colleague would have an issue, it happened just as she expected. She taught me to be good at understanding people and summarizing patterns.

The Long Haul: Unveiling the Secret to My Six-Year Persistence

During my years at Missmeeca, I've been one of the employees who have worked with General Manager Li for a relatively long time. Some people have asked me why I've been able to persist in working at Missmeeca for so long. The reason is actually quite simple: I admire General Manager Li and I also recognize and appreciate the corporate culture of Missmeeca.

At the beginning of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, a U.S. client, due to their own bankruptcy, abandoned an order worth over three million that they had placed with us, leaving us with piles of inventory in our factory warehouse. During the meeting, while all colleagues were immersed in frustration, our General Manager Li kept encouraging the team to look forward and strive to find new buyers. I knew she suffered from sleepless nights, yet she would come to work the next day and continue to work hard. She often went out to visit clients, trying to sell the inventory in our warehouse. Thanks to her relentless efforts over more than a year, those backlogs of goods were gradually shipped to overseas markets.

Sometimes when facing third-party inspectors who nitpicked about our product quality and hinted at wanting bribes, General Manager Li insisted on her principles and told me not to indulge these people. This gave me the confidence and belief in the quality of our company's products.

In the second half of 2020, as the pandemic continued, the company faced its most difficult times. General Manager Li and I ventured to Zhongkai, Huizhou, to break new ground. She often told me that when one is in a tight spot, one must think of change; when one changes, one finds a way; and when one finds a way, one reaches success. We needed to go out and seek opportunities. I lived with her in Huizhou for a while, during which I gained a clear understanding of her lifestyle and work ethic.Upon arriving in Huizhou, everything was unfamiliar to us. She actively led me to expand our network in Huizhou, including local material suppliers and the foreign trade circle. Her friends always told me in front of me that I had chosen the right boss. In daily life, General Manager Li was particularly frugal. When we ate together in the canteen, she never wasted food and reminded me not to waste either. At night, we enjoyed a simple hot pot meal that cost only a few dollars, and it was still delicious. I used to think that my boss would wear designer clothes, but later I found out that the clothes she wore were old ones from many years ago, yet they still looked appropriate and beautiful on her. Her good temperament, combined with her strict self-discipline and insistence on exercise, even involved me in running with her. Even when traveling, she insisted on running. After work at night, when I lay in bed engrossed in games until late, she was holding her computer negotiating orders with foreign customers until late at night. Every day, she insisted on completing her study on the "Study Strong Country" platform and clocking in before 12 o'clock. At the same time, she would also educate me in a sisterly tone, urging me to play fewer games and enrich myself more. We would lie in bed and she would still review the day's work with me, a true workaholic. At that time, I suddenly stopped envying the role of a boss. In her, I saw that being a boss involves much more hardship, effort, dedication, pressure, and persistence than an ordinary person.

Perhaps it was when I saw General Manager Li privately donating toys to children in impoverished mountainous areas;

Perhaps it was when General Manager Li led our company's staff to visit nursing homes to show love and warmth to the elderly who live alone;

Or maybe it was during the outbreak of the Wuhan epidemic when I was stranded in Hubei for 64 days. General Manager Li often called to comfort and encourage me, and extended a helping hand. Not only that, but during the epidemic when everyone was avoiding it, and there was a severe shortage of community volunteers, she, as the boss, still stood on the front line of community service to fight the epidemic. She was brave and kind.

Or perhaps it was when I was unclear about my future plans and felt lost, General Manager Li provided me with guidance, helping me to settle down and buy a house in Huizhou, to live and work in peace and contentment. The help she extended to me was warmer than that of many of my relatives.

The car I've been using for two years was also a gift from her. At first, when she accompanied me while driving, I was very nervous. She would also, when I was too scared to drive on the road, ignore my tears and leave me by the roadside, forcing me to learn to drive independently. At that time, I was afraid to drive alone and even wanted to return the car to her. She scolded me for being so timid and ready to give up, telling me that the road ahead was long and that I must learn to become strong on my own. Whenever I think of the words she said to me, I am grateful and bring tears to my eyes.

After six years, General Manager Li has had a profound impact on me. She treats me like a member of her own family. In the presence of others, she is also quick to defend me. We share many beautiful and memorable moments. For instance, at the end of each year when our clients are urgently demanding shipments and the company is short on manpower, General Manager Li would bring her family, both young and old, from Shenzhen to the factory. Together, we would form a makeshift assembly line and successfully fulfill the clients' orders, exhausted yet joyful. She is a person who takes great responsibility for her clients and family. Being frugal by nature, she would do everything herself if possible.One night after work, in the dead of night, to remove the empty flower pots from our office and plant new flowers, she asked me to help her load seven or eight large empty pots into her car and then drove to the flower market to transport them. The flower nursery was already closed, shrouded in darkness, and we were chased by a pack of dogs while carrying the pots. The owner of the nursery was fond of her and often gifted her flowers. General Manager Li is someone who adores life, enjoys cultivating flowers, and takes good care of them. Consequently, all the offices in our Missmeeca factories are filled with greenery, including osmanthus, orchids, pothos, and more. The office environment, adorned by her, is elegant and cozy. Every nook and cranny of the factory is filled with her painstaking efforts and dedication.

How could I not have feelings for Missmeeca?

During the darkest times for Shenzhen Missmeeca, General Manager Li established Huizhou Missmeeca with the hope of breaking through the stalemate. I am deeply aware that almost all of her energy and time have been devoted to the growth of Missmeeca. When I first encountered Missmeeca, it was like a tender sprout that had just broken through the soil. After being tempered by time, it has grown into a big tree capable of shielding from wind and rain. I have witnessed the growth of Missmeeca and every transformation she has undergone.As I piece together the fragments of memories from these years, I can't help but feel the passage of time. Each memory is precious; Missmeeca has shaped who I am today and continues to guide me on the path forward. I especially cherish the fate that brought me to General Manager Li, the time we have worked together, and the home we have strived to build together.

I wish Missmeeca to thrive and grow better and better!
